DENNY TEDESCO

Denny’s background is rooted in Film and TV. As a film technician in the 80’s, Denny started his career as a Set Decorator for the classic film, "Eating Raoul".

In 1983, he wrote and produced a documentary for a series called "Entertainment Profiles". It included interviews with Henry Mancini, Frank Zappa, Frank Devol, Bill Conti, and Toto's Guitarist, Steve Lukather. It was well received when it aired on the respected Los Angeles PBS station KCET.

Growing up in the music business, Denny found himself working on hundreds of rock videos as a technician. In 1986 Denny directed a Jazz Video for Discovery Records that played on VH1 and other Jazz shows around the country.

In 1990, Denny was recruited to work with Graphic Films, a leader in IMAX documentaries. Over the last eight years, he has filmed all over the world. From the shark infested waters of Australia to the plains of Africa, he has filmed under the most challenging conditions. In 1992, he was sent as the Location Producer to cover the eruption of Mt. Pinatubo and then sent to Kobe, Japan to cover the horrific earthquake of 1995.

In 1994,Denny became a partner with his brother in Mobile Disc & DAT Music/CD Promo. As Executive Producers, they have produced Jazz compilations for Eastman Kodak, Banana Republic, The Westwood Marquis & Hilton Hotels, Acura Cars and a series of compilations for the KLON Jazz Radio Station. Their company has grown over the last six years with great response and success.

Denny and his brother Damon’s love of music come from their childhood. Their father was a legendary Jazz, & Studio guitarist, Tommy Tedesco. Tommy was known in the music community as the “World's most recorded guitarist in the World”. Their knowledge and understanding of the music business has been a great asset to CD Promo.

Despite the rapid growth of CD Promo, Denny still keeps his hands in the film business. He recently produced the opening sequence to the Acadamy Awards with Billy Crystal. He is currently directing a documentary on the Recording Studios of Los Angeles called the “Wrecking Crew”, which includes interviews with Cher, Nancy Sinatra, Dick Clark and other legends of the time.
